Exploring the Diversity and Similarities of Human Insight
Rev. Dan will share creation stories from seven diverse cultures and identities, encouraging participants to find the commonality of human understanding and experience in each one. Comparing similarities and differences, it will pose the question - is our understanding of creation due to harmony of human insight - or is there a central truth in the genesis of the universe?
Rev. Dan Travers, PhD is a professor of Liberal Arts at Georgian College in Barrie. Originally from Manchester, UK, he received a PhD in Humanities from the University of Huddersfield in 2012 and was ordained by the Bancroft Centre in 2018. The author of two books on memory and identity, he is the founder of Infinity Celebrations which offers weddings, funerals, and celebrations of life in the North Simcoe area. He lives in Port McNicoll, ON with his wife and two children.

Karen’s spiritual journey has been that of a seeker. Brought up in the United Church of Canada’s tradition, she has worked for the Lutheran Church of Canada and the Jewish Federation of Windsor. Her children were raised in the Baptist Church in her former home in Alabama. She has also studied the Baha’i religion, Islam, Wicca, and Druidism. Karen’s faith journey culminated in metaphysical belief and she has finally found peace and balance in the teachings of the Bancroft Centre for Awakening Spiritual Growth.

A former actress with numerous commercials and films to her credit, Krista studied as a Spiritual Director at the Transformational Arts College of Spiritual College and Holistic Training (TAC) in Toronto, as a Metaphysical Hypnotherapist with the Ontario Hypnosis Centre, as a Clear Channel with Elizabeth Rose, is ordained with the Metaphysical Ministry of Canada and is a full time student in the Master of Divinity degree programme at Emmanuel College of Victoria University in the University of Toronto.
